The Chola kingdom covered southern India and the northern part of Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Metal: these are copper or copper-bronze Size: These coins are 5/8 to 3/4 inch across. 	Ancient / Medieval India - Hari (?) Chandra Deva - ca. 1405-1420 A.D.  Kangra Kingdom. See description above. One side of the coin (upper photo) depicts a horseman that is highly stylized.  The other side has writing in Sanskrit, giving the (partial) name of the ruler.  Not much is currently known of these ancient and mysterous kings from the foothills of the Himalayas. These coins date anywhere from the 1300's to the early 1500's A.D.  They are quite uncommon, especially when having sharp detail such as this one. #057. Price: $18.00 SOLD
